Terms and conditions of the course registration procedure

  • Age: 18 years or older

  • Certificate of medical examination

  • Filed in application form

  • Payment of training

  • For Level 2 :Experience as Level 1 specialist, no less than one year and 1000 hours

  • For Level 3: Experience as Level 2 specialist, no less than one year and 1500 hours

The course composition with the names of tasks

Training days are saturated of both theoretical and practical exercises that include multimedia sessions and practical exercises on the simulators.

More detailed principles of work with the use of rope access techniques, introduction to the safety rules, understanding of the role of risk assessment; safety devices, falls risks factors, anchor points selection, anchor system, suspension, legislation and documentation, lifting systems, review and selection of existing equipment for performing rope access, etc.

Ascent, descent, movement along the axes, deviations, nodes, transitions, working seat operation, personal equipment components, etc.

Skills and knowledge acquired through the successful course completion

After the completion of the training course the student shall know and be able to:

  • Have a general understanding of the legislation and regulatory measures, regulating “Work at height rules” and PPE against falls requirements. (The student receives a list of required documents).

  • Understand and know safety principles, rope access, work performance and positioning at height techniques.

  • Know the necessary framework of nodes that is used when carrying out the works (The student receives a list of necessary nodes and knotting schemes).

  • Know and be able to use basic techniques of rope access safely, to perform maneuvering and positioning at height.

  • Know and be able to use the basic techniques of rescue works safely.

After the completion of the training course and successful exam passing the applicant acquires knowledge that gives him/her:

  • THE ADVANTAGE OF SAFE WORK AT HEIGHT and therefor a greater demand in the Estonian and European labor market.

  • Greater mobility while achieving the workplace, and therefor a faster works execution.

Training room, components, equipment used and training materials to facilitate the successful passing of the course

Training room: Equipped training center.
Equipment: Simulators – constructions imitating the environment close to real.
Area: Training zone with the ability to implement lifts and movements with the use of the rope access techniques.
The classroom is equipped with required furniture.
Equipment used: The equipment totally complies with the requirements of EU standards for this activity.

During the training course each student receives a full set of working and safety systems for the time of studying.
Teaching materials used: Multimedia training video-course, IRATA rulebook.
